About the Campaign
What is Otzar HaSfarim for Beis Menachem Mendel?
A campaign to build the founding seforim library of a brand-new Tomchei Temimim yeshiva gedola in Tzfat, in its first year of operation.
When did the yeshiva open?
The yeshiva opened on 1 Elul 5785 (2025). This campaign is running in the inaugural z'man (first semester).
Has anyone donated yet? Is this real?
Yes. Sets have already been sponsored. You can see which sets are still available and which are funded.
Why does a new yeshiva need this campaign?
A new institution has no existing library. Every sefer in the otzar must be acquired. The building is open. The bochurim are there. The shelves need to be filled — this campaign fills them.
Who is behind this campaign?
The campaign is run by the hanhala of Beis Menachem Mendel, under the auspices of the Chabad mosdos of Tzfat (מוסדות חב"ד צפת), led by Rav Chaim Kaplan, the Rebbe's shliach in Tzfat.
About Donating
Can I sponsor a specific seforim set?
Yes. Browse the available sets and choose one. You pay for that exact set and it is dedicated in your name.
What if the set I want is already sponsored?
It will be marked as funded. Choose another, or donate to the general campaign.
Can I sponsor a set as a gift for someone?
Yes. During checkout you can enter a dedication name — for a person, in memory of someone, or for a simcha.
Is there a minimum donation?
There is no enforced minimum for the general campaign. Set sponsorships have their own price based on the actual cost of the set.
Can I split the cost of a set with someone else?
Yes. Contact us and we will arrange a shared dedication.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes. Just indicate that preference at checkout.
About Payment and Security
How is payment processed?
Payments are processed securely via Cardcom (Israeli cards) or Stripe (international cards). Your payment details are never stored on our servers.
Can I pay in a different currency?
Yes. The site supports ILS and USD. The current exchange rate is applied automatically.
Do I get a receipt?
Yes. You receive an email confirmation with your donation details immediately after payment.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Israeli donors may be eligible for a valid receipt (kabala l'tzorchei mas) — contact us and we will arrange it. US donors: please consult your tax advisor.
After You Donate
How will I know the set was actually purchased?
You will receive a follow-up update when the set is placed in the otzar.
Can I visit the yeshiva and see the seforim?
Yes. The yeshiva is located in Neve Ornim, Tzfat. Contact us to arrange a visit.
Will there be updates about the campaign progress?
Yes. Check the Campaign Updates page for ongoing progress.
Can I donate again next year?
Yes. The otzar will continue to grow. Additional campaigns will run as needs develop.
